Lutheran Life Villages is looking for qualified applicants to join our Anthony Boulevard campus as the new Life Safety / Maintenance Technician! To be considered for this position, one must be knowledgeable in Life Safety regulations in a medical related field, basic aspects of building maintenance, and an attitude of working conducive for working in a team.

The Life Safety / Maintenance Technician will be a Monday through Friday routine with some on-call requirements. While reporting to the Director on Maintenance for the campus, this role will be responsible routinely addressing the "Life Safety" concerns for the campus. This would be auditing, implementing, and engaging with inspectors as they enter the building. This role may be required to provide trainings as the needs arise. This individual will also serve as the Fire Safety Manager addressing hazardous conditions and disaster preparedness/preparation.

Job Qualifications
  1. Education/Training
    1. Trade School certificate preferred.
  2. Experience
    1. Five (5) years experience performing a variety of maintenance activities; at least one year experience directing staff.
  3. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    1. Ability to interpret blue prints, equipment manuals, and building specification manuals; (i.e. building codes and Fire Safety codes)
    2. Working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration and heating.
    3. Has the ability to plan, direct, coordinate, and implement overall maintenance and fire prevention.
    4. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
    5. Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
    6. Ability to use a variety of hand tools and equipment associated with carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
    7. Ability to proficiently use Microsoft suite
