Lutheran Life Villages is looking for caring individuals to join our team as a Personal Care Assistant. These caring individuals should take pride in providing top-notch customer services and caring for our residents in the Residential Living portion of our community. Our Personal Care Assistants main focus is to "be there" for our residents. This would include light housekeeping, assistance with general maintaining of their apartments, the occasional assistance to appointments, and cooking on occasion. This particular role will also have a strong focus on housekeeping as well as engaging our residents through activities and the Rock Steady Boxing program. This candidate should have some base knowledge of the Rock Steady Boxing program and be willing to hop in and help get our community members moving with scheduled activities.

Job Qualifications

Education/Training

Minimum age 18.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must have a valid driver's license (a satisfactory motor vehicle driving history required).
  • Experience
    • Experience in home care, other human service position or related field, including demonstrated skills working with older adults, following direction, and enthusiasm to help others.
    • Previous long term care experience with the elderly preferred.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
    • Strong verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
    • Basic knowledge of computers.
